Attractions in Mallorca

When you are in Mallorca there are a lot of ways to spend your time, you can enjoy the beach and sunny days and at night you can go to the bars, but there is more than that to visit in the island. Touristic attractions in the island are plenty and magnificent; below we offer a list of the most representative ones:
  • Marineland. – Marineland is perhaps the most popular attraction in Mallorca; it offersthe only live show of marine species like: dolphins and lions.
  • Acuacity. - It is a water-based attraction located in S'Arsenal resort. It offers a lot of pools, steep and winding slides. It is recommendable that you go with your family in summer vacations.
  • Mallorca Caves. – Mallorca is popular because of its caves, they are beautiful and most of people that visit the island want to explore the amazing rock formations that are on the zone. There are some offered tours to visit the different caves in the area.
  • Placa Major. – It is a square with a lot of history; nowadays it is the most popular place to do shopping and to have a nice dinner. Cars are not allowed in the square so you can enjoy a nice walking in this historical square.
  • Menacor. – Menacor is the second most important place in Mallorca, only after Palma. If you are interested in pearl this is the right place. There is an offered tour where you can visit the pearl factory and also how to create an artificial diamond.
  • Mallorca Harbour. – Perhaps it’s one of the most vibrant harbours of the entire word, where you can do your own tour and visit the well-known restaurants. There are also ferries that provide transportations between islands.
  • Museums. – Mallorca is a small island and has its high quality museums, such as: the Mallorca Museum (Museu de Mallorca), Museum of Spanish Contemporary Art (Museu d'Art Espanyol Contemporani) and the Municipal Museum (Museu Municipal). The first one shows historic pieces of the time when the Moors occupied Spain and the others are art museums, all of them worth a visit.
